christian :
while trying to understand some of their code, I mathematical proved an algorithm my team built was flawed. I then proposed a provably correct and simulation backed fix. Before they could incorporate my fix, they actually got hit by a major failure that fit the exact flaw I characterized. And this wasn’t even the goal of my internship!

for the past 3 yrs as a sec engineer i’ve just been hacking and fixing the issues that I created. started off doing that as an intern for that return offer because i was the only one who knew how to fix it

I've never had an internship in my life, sadly 😔 I love that you're at cornell. I got in, too, but my dumb ahh didn't end up going 😭

Had a buddy copy the course description and course materials for a grad level class, import to chatgpt, condense this into a short master class, lie on resume, get the internship, learned the skills he lied about having, got return offer; 2 years later, is making 6 figures at 24 years old

I looked my absolute best in my LinkedIn photos and followed all the people who worked there . Kept my instagram account open and posted only niche stuff . Beauty works over brains sadly

Not me :
Literally made a new personality the stark opposite of mine 💀 I usually keep to myself b/c I hate existing, but I became the most fake, warm, bubbly, curious person to exist and asked abt my team's families, etc. (jus showed interest in their lives) when I jus wanted that god damn return. Also helped that I was the only one who knew how to code on my team, so I prob jus seemed like a harmless, eager-to-please college student. Got the return, negotiated salary up 2k, rejected return offer for a role at a diff company for 15k more.
