@hidirnakargu: This morning, I witnessed a sad scene. A young man collapsed on the street, apparently due to a seizure. I’m not entirely sure if it was epilepsy or another condition. What struck me as particularly heartbreaking was how people passing by avoided him until a friend rushed to his side. The friend explained that this young man had been battling his illness for a long time, but many people assumed he had fallen due to drug abuse, which, unfortunately, is a common assumption these days. The lesson I took away from this experience is that when a young person collapses in public, many of us jump to conclusions about their situation. It’s disheartening that someone in need of help can be so quickly labelled as a drug addict. These are some of the dangers of drug abuse in a society.
