@risewithroxie: @The Doctor's Kitchen explains if protein shakes can be healthy for you if done right… #proteinshakes #food #unhealthy #protein #proteinbar #diet #nutrition #nutritionist
Whey protein makes me bloat and stinky gas. Vegan protein doesn’t have that effect on me.

Eggs and beef. Why do people insist on processed foods like protein powders?!

I don’t think we actually need protein powder because unless you’re competing majority of people just need 1g per body weight and it’s not that hard

And no one ever tells you what the good powders are, what the right alternatives are, names of what you should use. Not helpful at all

Yep,💯 true! I destroyed my gut because of the artificial sweeteners from the protein powders (sucralose in my case).

Pea proteins are easier to digest, but taste horrible.

Use unflavoured as they don’t have any extras in them and then adding your own flavouring such as banana for the taste. You’re welcome.

Linking gut issues so broadly to being just from a protein shake is rather wild..

But is it the high protein amount in 16oz drink or is it the additives and emulsifiers? I find that any high protein drink or bar give me stomach issues. They need to do a study giving the same amount of protein in a shake or regular food in one meal rather than say it’s just the vehicle with additives that’s the issue.

Protein shake will always spike your insulin as it’s powder form…but take the ones with less carbs, no maltodexrin and erythrol, monk fruit are still better.
