This was not the only place this happened the Natchez of Louisiana and Mississippi they were also a native and escaped slave mixture and like the Seminole the USA couldn’t win in the swamp although many Natchez were moved many were able to stay and live in the swamps to this day. Many of the ones who moved ended up in Mexico because they abolished slavery before the USA.

After the wars, many Black Seminoles were forced to relocate to Oklahoma or migrated to Mexico, known there as Mascogos. Despite facing ongoing challenges, such as disputes over tribal membership, Black Seminole communities continue to preserve their heritage and cultural identity in various parts of North America today.
