Oh gosh! My MIL would throw in our face that she spent $500 to have 3 rooms painted in our home while I was 8 mos pregnant, on bed rest with kidney stones. NEVER took a penny again & cut that toxicity out ✌🏼

My father in law did the exact same thing. We had a witness on our side and don’t have the money for repayment but he did tell other family members we weren’t being honest with our “word of repayment”

My father in law did this to me after my husband died. $165,000 for farm improvements and he took it off his taxes with the depreciation. 5 years after the gift he wanted paid back. Even admitted it was a gift.
