My former employer would diminish all our ‘going above & beyond’ of doing overtime/weekend extra work in performance reviews as ‘normal’ with ‘well, you got paid didn’t you?’ … and that was the END of going above & beyond. I decided my time was more valuable at that point.

Ah yes. The scorpion dance with Sales Ops every year. Forecast of 25% growth is not aspirational enough! Sales then forced into sandbagging deals and lowering potential of others. An annual game played out on spreadsheets every year. Absolutely exhausting
