I don't disagree with you. But most people don't live in a home with a distinct architectural style anyway. Most people live in single-family suburban homes that favor function over aesthetics.

I am glad you mentioned that decor needs to go with the house. We have been renting a 1940's farmhouse for 11 years. My decor is farmhouse. Nothing matches but blends together well. ❤️

I am renovating my bathroom and wanted to do a built-in looking vanity, but when I really thought about it, it would not fit the vibe of the house. So I am getting a dresser to use for the sink instead! It will fit so much better.
