I would say worth asking the landlord if you can paint it if you promise to paint it white again at the end of the tenancy. They will have to repaint it at some point anyway.

I'd say hang a tapestry but that would get in the way when opening/closing it maybe a bunch of stickers? not sure how they'd come off though and you wouldn't want to risk the deposit

keep the old 1s but swap the handles, drape something over the doors, posters are possible but probably not what you want. I saw somewhere a canvas type thing someone did and fitted it to a door, would allow you to decorate that 🤷♂️

How about vertical fabric “sleeves” that just slide over doors. But fabric needs to be thin enough not to hinder door closing. Or tied-dyed sail panels on the front held on by ropes running from top to bottom on the inside of the door.

I've used the Eevee evolution stickers from the cards packs on my steam deck so I say go all Eevee 😂 (also command strips can be your best friend)
