All we want is an induction stove with physical (!!!) knobs and buttons. I hate nothing more than something spills while cooking and the entire settings change or the stove turns off.

Completely disagree on the hot tap. Complete waste of money. The energy saving will never pay it back. The break all the time. Cost a fortune to fix. The spray and very dangerous when they’re on. And yes a modern kettle works very well 🤣

Sorry yet induction hob are the most annoying way to cook, they beep, lock you out, can you can’t baste a steak as well , more rather clean a gas hob

the worst thing about my kitchen is that is was designed by a tall man. lots of wall cupboards but I can only reach the first shelf and cant see anything that's at the back.

Wondering if the people against induction have ever used a proper high powered one. Clean with one swipe, precision control, extreme efficiency… and it’s well known by know that a gas hob is actually terrible for air quality.

I’ve heard lots of negative things about draining grooves just holding water etc maybe a sloped flat surface instead? Getting our worktop soon!

we're an ingredients household, I need a kitchen to be practical. Belfast sinks are the best for practicality and induction hobs are horrible to work with. I'm sure those kitchens look high end, but they don't look very homely 😕 that's just personal taste though.

How come the the sink on the island is cluttered, but when you show one in front of the window it’s totally clutter free. Just keep it tidy on the island as well

Never ever get sinks to match your worktops always use stainless steel,matching sinks 2 worktops stains very badly we were always bleaching it back to white & not always successfully,& kitchen pantry’s 2 store equipment get a tambour door cupboard (roller door) so versatile

Quartz is most definitely not stain resistant. We visited more than a few people who have it and the moment they spill anything they are running for the paper towel and the cleaning supplies because it stains so fast

I tried an induction cooktop and it was absolutely horrendous. I removed it and re-installed a gas cooktop. As a very keen cook, I would NEVER recommend induction.

Hob in the island would be my last choice. All that grease and whatever splatter. Plus you need a good venting option, downdrafts are awful and I don’t want to put a hood in the middle of the room.

You forgot one essential tip: have enough space for recycling. I have space for trash, cardboard, glass and metals in my kitchen. Paper and plastic are elsewhere.
