@saradaviescc: So you know i've had a bit of an air-dry clay obsession recently... (yes i've made some AWESOME stuff - go have a look if you've not seen!) well anyway I've had a go at this fancy leaf jewellery tray (I saw one in a fancy boutique and was like 'I can totally make that myself' and turns out I totally could!! Top top i've found working with the clay - I roll it out on top of some greaseproof paper – trust me, it makes everything a lot easier to lift and move around. Then I just drew myself a template, cut round it and well you can see the rest - it's so easy, kinda like working with playdough when you were a kid but WAY cooler! To give it that lovely tray shape, I just draped mine over a bowl while it dried. Then for the painting I used a metallic green paint and went over the edges with my metallic paint pen (obvs from @crafterscompanion!), and honestly, it looks SO fancy.
