SO many more things to sharp images than simply raising shutter speed. Aperature, AF, IS, the lens itself, etc

but it cuts out light coming into your camera. so this would only work with alot of light, right??

the higher the shutter speed the faster you take the picture thus actually capturing the action. its "blurry" because you are shooting slower than they are moving. if you are getting into sports and didnt learn about shutter speed, why are you even shooting sports

Unfortunately it's not that simple. The higher the shutter speed the more light you need. By adjusting the ISO, or your FStop.

True. You will also have to adjust iso. The faster the shutter speed, the less light comes in.

What camera do you have? I have a manual and because of that if I do anything above 1/80 indoors it makes it extremely dark. I am currently saving up to a camera because I don’t want to ask my parents so I would love affordable recommendations!
