I’ve heard rumors that the original cast for adventure originally just wanted to make the movie out of this movie and our wargame but fox kids pushed for hurricane touchdown to be added to advertise for 02. The koro is not the same as tai’s agumon atleast before Tri would retcon that so the agumon in the movie is the same as tai’s agumon but since Tri has entered a state of questionable canonicity since its events are never brought up again and often ignored in official media it’s possible that it isn’t the same agumon. From what I understand parrotmon is sent there for agumon as a powerful force in the digital world detected that an egg had passed into the human world and sent parrotmon to retrieve it however it would experience firsthand the power that Digimon gain from having human partners and thus the powerful force(iirc who would later be name dropped as homeostasis) would select our future group of 8 kids to get Digimon in the future this lore would come from 3 novelizations of the Original season by the head writer and director for the anime.
