God forbid someone has genuine interests. The world needs people like her, keeping art alive. It’s her money anyways. Making others feel worse about a decision that doesn’t pertain to you is never productive

i’ll never understand the hate that people who choose the arts get. without artists, historians, musicians, writers, we would literally have no society. you come home from work to watch films, read a book, go to museums. why constantly undermine what they do?

I was an anthropology major and Getty Marrow intern back in 2013. It opened so many doors for me professionally and led me to graduate school.

I don’t get why people care what people study so much. Why would someone go to college to study something they have ZERO interest in? If she’s happy with what she’s studying that’s all that matters. She’s the one paying for it, not anyone else. If yall pick a career or major based solely on the money and not bc you have a genuine interest in it, you’re going to have a hard time with life than someone who chose something they actually enjoy even if they don’t get paid much.

Why is everyone judging? Clearly yall never went to college or do research. Having a degree is supposed to open doors for you to enter these types of programs and she clearly did that and had a plan for it. Props on her for graduating! 💪
