NTA in Asian culture the elders try to get their kids or grandkids to be all buddy buddy with them but when the friends are being rude to you the parents/grandparents gets mad when you stand up for yourself. They don’t like when kids/grandkids “rebels back” even tho they get picked on

NTA. I grew up a no sabo kid and still have poor spanish skills, people like this discouraged me from getting any better and i already didn’t have many people to talk to. I’m still trying and it’s better to cut people like that out instead of giving up!

Just Don't talk to them in Chinese... just answer and talk in Rapid english. and do the same thing they do... yell at them on how to pronounce certain words if they get it wrong and laugh if the grammar is wrong... cuz if i was that ill do that as often as i can

Its the hypocrisy of the parents' arguments for me. Friend and daughter can be as rude as they want, but if OP so much as says "hey thats not nice" they get scolded? Or the "she's just a kid" argument when it sounds as if OP is either around the same age or EVEN YOUNGER than her??
