The modern manage your carbon footprint movement is literally propaganda pushed by fossil fuel companies to shift accountability on climate change from corporations to individuals. Unless you’re flying in PJs or cruising in yachts you won’t really have a measurable impact on climate change.

Collective action at the pace certain people want to do it would make us all poorer and our quality of life worse. We need to have the collective action but the pace people want it is just unrealistic. Carry on as normal and plug away at finding new technologies. Not spend billions of pounds on things like carbon capture that don’t work!

keep in mind a single cruise ship burns 304,593 litres of fuel per day. recycling your plastic bottles or hang drying your clothes won’t be saving the planet anytime soon. the many aren’t responsible - it’s the few.

fun fact, if we stopped ripping down all the amazing trees, rainforest and vital eco systems that exist, the planet could HANDLE our existence. It is a combined issue. We create pollution, then rip down and destroy all the natural landscapes that help to REVERSE what we do and wonder why we're having so many issues

It's the greedy corps who ruin the climate, we produce and use too much plastic, fast fashion, consumerism, appliances that don't last a life time like they used too etc etc etc We can do our part sure but at the end of the day it's never going to be enough unless everyone joins in.

That. I’m so sick of hearing that I can’t use plastic straws (the paper once’s are horrible) because they end up in the nature… no they end up in my recycling bin for plastics. We can do the job but we need help from government and corporations! This was an example of course. I’m a champ in recycling 😊
