@xavskitchen: EGGS FROM AROUND THE WORLD 🌍 Welcome back to Eggs from around the world, my series where I’ll be showing you how to make some of the best egg dishes in the world. Today’s episode takes us to Portugal to make some ‘Ovos Rotos’. Now this translates to ‘Broken Eggs’ and is also eaten in Spain under the name of ‘Huevos Rotos’. It involves fried eggs, French fries and Jamon Iberia. Simple but together works so well. Full recipe below! (2) 2 large potatoes peeled and cut into French fries 1 litre vegetable oil Salt & black pepper Jamon Iberico 4 free range eggs (1) Start by adding your French fries into a large bowl of cold water and rinse well until the water runs clear. This is to remove the starch. Then dry completely. (2) Now heat up a large pot with the oil until it reaches 160C. Add the fries to the oil and cook for 5 minutes until almost cooked through, then remove, drain and set aside. Heat up the pot again until the oil reaches 190C, then add the fries and fry for a few minutes until golden and crispy, remove drain and set aside. (3) Fry your eggs for a few minutes, thens serve altogether with the Jamon and a generous pinch of salt and black pepper. #eggs #eggrecipe #portuguesefood #portugal #fyp
