some of the freeways have wrong way driver detectors. The adot signs will change to alert drivers there is a wrong way driver ahead. That's how bad the wrong way drivers situation is here

Recently we’ve had an influx of wrong way drivers mainly in the early morning hours due to inebriated drivers so our lovely government thought this would deter wrong way drivers….who are drunk/on drugs. (Wasteful spending in short)

our freeways are built with straight left and right entrances unlike up north and back east which do a clover. the snowbirds and new residents from other states will enter from the wrong direction a few times a year.

I know a phx 911 dispatcher socially. She told me to never use the hov lanes in the wee hours. It’s the lane the wrong way drivers choose on the freeway thinking it’s their own far right lane
