Definitely had 1 of my ramps come open at 70 up in Massachusetts on I84 or 91 can’t remember but it was definitely exciting 😂

my dad has been doing hot shot for about 20 years off and on he had a trailer with those hooks and the manufacturer he had put them on didn't weld them good and his ramps started dragging on the interstate and someone was tailgating him and was starting to merge and pushed his trailer and threw him into the median now he has a Gatormade trailer never had a problem since 2018 with that trailer

I’ve literally had them come unhooked and had the mega ramp flip over coming across i80 just south of Chicago before… that was NOT fun trying to find a safe spot to pull over to flip the ramp back over…. I got very lucky and the counter spring was still strong enough to hold the ramp off the road. No sparks. I just noticed in my mirror I couldn’t see the ramp anymore 😂

I had a whole ramp fall off my big Tex one of the main pins walked out hit a bump and it flew off even with a strap over it. Then two months later the actual dove tail snapped off trailer was fairly new. Haven’t had dove tail in 10 years now and I don’t miss it 🤣

Love my Gatormade Trailer. And like yours I have those too. Mine have got bent but they’re still doing the job. I run 5 days a week mine is a 2021 model. Approximately 150k miles on mine.

I’m having that issue with my new trailer. Like 4 inch plus still above ground. Luckily I have a team driver but still annoying to deal with. I was thinking about getting some counter weight to pu on them while loading. Any suggestions would be great.

Thx for the tip. Also, do you have any problems with the rear of your trailer and the license plate dragging on the road? I heard that some guys actually have to remove their trailer plates to avoid losing them while on the road

Our mega ramps keep flipping back up on us as we drive a truck over the top of them. New 26 Delco 40’ trailer. Hardly anybody talks about this. We’re trying to find a solution. Ours don’t go all the way down either.
