I went in 41+2 for induction after 2 sweeps in community. The second was stretch & sweep which got me to 2cm.

That far over won’t take long if you go to be induced. When I went in to have it done I noticed women that were over due didn’t seem to take long. Mine didn’t take long. Xx

tbf you just dont know how an induction will go. I was 2 cm the first time and gave birth in 38 minutes. 4 cm to holding him at 39 weeks. My second induction i was 37 weeks, was 3 cm and it took 4 1/2 hours.

have u got ur dates right?? only because my friend went 13 days over due and her dates all kept going werid snd by her dates she was 39+3 when she give birth but 13 over by there's xxx

I was like this until about 11 days over with my first and had him at 13 days over. My second was similar and was 11 days over before I had him. Both were spontaneous labours in the end!

I was induced at 40 weeks and it only took one pesarry and labour was 4 hours without the hormone drip because I didn’t need it, but that was my first so it might be even quicker for you with it being your second xx

I was 1cm with my first and high cervix 5 days over, went into labour that nihht and had her the next morning

Not technically my story, but I’m a midwife and had a lady come to me at 3pm for a sweep when she was almost 41 weeks. Apologised profusely as I wasn’t able to do the sweep due to her cervix being completely closed. Several choice words (directed to her cervix, not me 😅) and off she went. I was finishing admin at home later that night about 7-8pm and went to add something to her account - saw it’s said she’d delivered. Apparently she started contracting shortly after leaving clinic, went in and popped a baby out just before 7pm 😅 Unusual but not impossible!

My biggest stress was always how my other kids would be when I went into hospital to have a baby but it always worked out ok and I needn’t have worried 🤗 As for inducing labour, have you tried expressing bm? Worked like a charm for me x

I went 41+6 with my second daughter. Hospital had me in gave me a pessary, I had her within 4 hours lol xx

It’s definitely a boy thing! I did everything in one day: sweep, long walk, massive spring clean, curry for dinner, warm bath. Went into labour naturally that evening n he was born next morning. Good luck! Xx

Do you know if you can take the pessary at home / still have a water birth if you get induced? I’m currently 40+2, have a midwife appt tomorrow xx
