She’s right. You could put 10,000 hours into dating and end up worse off by being traumatized. But if you put 10,000 hours into anything else - cooking, reading, school, a career, working out etc. you’ll be better off than when you started.

It’s the PHONES! It’s social media. Even if you aren’t on dating apps, social media has become default dating apps so you’re forced to play a game.

For women on dating apps, there isn’t even the illusion of endless options. There are almost no options. When I was on the apps, I could scroll through the entire stack and swipe right on maybe 3 guys. There are no options on apps.

it 100% is phones and social media. Our dopamine is fried, so we don’t crave romantic connection anymore. social media and dating apps also give the illusion of endless choice, so people don’t want to commit and work on building a relationship.

A lot of these beautiful 24-27 year contestants haven’t even been in what they consider a relationship but admit to being “involved” with people for years … it’s a weird thing I’ve noticed with my brother in the same age group there is this fear of labeling anything as a relationship or even dating. They will go on dates and be intimate for weeks, months etc but it’s so easy now to dispose of anyone and it’s ok bc you’re “not dating” and it’s all “casual”
