Honestly, this is cool. Debt will come and go but the memories will be forever. It's your money and your responsibility, as long as you can pay over the minimum - I think you are fine.

its one of the most expensive states to live in..so much that natives are being out priced out of Hawaii....this is embarrassing..childhood memories are made everywhere, in the back yard, the local pool, a day trip.. yikes

Girl, you do you. It's your life and your money. My dad worked like crazy and made lots of money but I would have rather him had spend time with us. He is gone now and I wish that I had more memories of time spent with him.

My kids got a great childhood full of memories and they’ve never have left the state they were born in. Sure I’d love to travel with them, when there a bit older and we have our ducks in a row. This is a bit crazy, “we’re moving to an expensive state for the summer while in crazy amounts of debt” you coulda used the money you saved to pay off some of that debt…
