You have textured paper. So that will typically show through. If you want it smooth try hot press. But will feel different when you paint always get 100% cotton

Paper is everything! Only 100% cotton - Arches, Baohong & Fabriano , & Saunders . Also paint personality I am Holbein gal because their pigment is so vibrant! Have fun!!

Get cotton paper with a heavier weight!

try 100% cotton paper. it's like a whole different beast. arches is a fan favorite. but great work! July is World Watercolor Month if you need any prompts for your practice ❤️

cold press will always have that beautiful texture. Let it shine! Also, try more free form stuff as well. Let the water do the work for you and just give up more control. It's much more fun :)
