I feel like this will lead to people integrating this into human/animal subjects to try and boost brain power or cause emotional/chemical changes in our brains. This might help with pain and anxiety issues by making a sort of controllable part of your brain. This also makes me feel like the phrase “we’re sentient meat computer“ is almost 100% accurate. But who knows this is cool cutting edge technology and I hope we can use it to benefit our degrading brains and disabilities instead of making ai overlords that have the capability of human greed. :)

Increasingly, I like the idea that our brains are “antennas” for consciousness. This makes consciousness perhaps antenna-agnostic or at least might logically explain how any neural arrangement could have a scalable experience, from humans all the way down to your creepy brain organelles. Still stumped on my first person experience.
