But you should never take a bird's lack of an ability to fly for granted - Jake's situation is unique and has proven fully limiting. Accidents can happen quickly. Birds who are not flight trained with full recall should not be allowed outdoors without proper restraint like a suitable travel cage or correct safety restraint such as an Aviator Harness.
