I lived in Apartment 2 in this building. Good neighbor. See’s candy is 20 feet away. Super quiet . if I could just ask one favor from you Sir, can you take my number off the call box? I got a missed call yesterday from the building and there’s no way that my number is still be attached to that call box. 😩

The Reality: This wasn't a one off
The Reality: This wasn't a one off "innocent hello." Minutes before this, I had just finished a set on the rowing machine. I was literally half off the seat packing up to move when this same guy came over saying something. I thought he wanted the machine, said "Yeah, you can use it," and walked off without even taking my headphones out. I didn't think about it once. Then I got to this station, and he tracked me down to approach me a second time. "Hi, what’s your name?" I said "No, thank you." He said "No, what’s your name?" I said "I don’t do that" and asked if I could carry on. He then stood in my space, pivoted instead of actually moving, and walked away slowly looking me up and down while still smiling. I did my entire set on pure irritation. To address the comment section experts: 1. The Audio: My DJI Osmo mic is directional. It caught his voice clearly because he chose to stand directly over my setup. He knew the camera was there and acknowledged it. This was not a secret filming situation this was a man choosing to interrupt a woman mid workout and mid set. 2. The "Rude" Crowd: At no point did I raise my voice. I was just unbothered, and that apparently reads as rude to people who expect women to perform a fake smile just to reject someone. 3. The "What if it was your brother" guilt trip: How would you feel if it was your sister being cornered and ignored after saying no twice? Normal, respectful people take a "No, thank you" and walk away. 4. "If he was buff you wouldn't care": No. Buff or not, don't approach me. I’m here to train, not to find a gym guy who is likely doing the exact same thing to multiple other girls in the room. Why the video is staying up: Since posting this, three women have reached out in my DMs and comments stating this same individual has targeted them in the exact same way, and they had to report him to management for harassment. This is a pattern of odd behavior, not an innocent mistake. Most women just want to finish their session. The headphones are not an invitation. "No, thank you" is a full sentence. It has always been enough. #primactive
