The comments here are heartless. You have to work three to 4 jobs in any borough in order to afford housing and 3 children and even then child care is outpricing housing. You can’t just say save up and move out as the housing rents went up 9% alone this year! I work as a nurse and I’m disabled and a studio in a decent area with access to a train and bus cost 2700 at the minimum

My father grew up in a similar situation. Put the three kids in the bedroom, and the parents sleep in the living room. That way you aren’t going in and out of the bedroom waking up the kids. The buildings should be sprayed consistently for bugs, that’s the landlords responsibility.

So let’s see you have one child you weren’t doing well and three years ladies second child comes along OK now we have two children and two adults all living in poor conditions and then we say let’s have another baby and blame the system on not taking care of you well enough in the meantime, there’s two adults in a home. Take it easily navigate both having jobs if we didn’t have a newborn infant feed and take care of againyour story is sad. It’s not as sad as you who put yourself there.
