I’ve stopped adding sugar. You don’t notice with the jam and cream plus you can use them as savoury scones too. Why add calories when you don’t have to. Every recipe should cut sugar by half or completely.

BUT, the cream goes on first, unless you are Cornish then it's jam first then cream but that's obviously wrong 😂

love these... I love watching your tictocs..I've tried many of your bakes, which have been thoroughly enjoyed..I'm a cook in a nursing home in Liverpool, and also run a pensioners bingo on a Monday evening, where I try to make some sort of cake or biscuits to go with tea...aid love dome inspection ideas...keep up your fab work..x

Thank you for this recipe - it is lovely! I used heavy whipping cream instead of the milk just because I had an open container. If anyone needs the info, add 1.5 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt if you have all purpose rather than the specified self-rising flour.
