Narcissistic MD, exposed! This is Dr Ara Deukmedjian. Deuk Spine Institute in Melbourne, FLEvery nurse and anesthesiologist should boycott working for him. When professionals become do arrogant and their behavior goes unchecked they will eventually harm or kill a patient. I'd never go to a surgeon like this especially not as a woman. Men like this are dangerous enough. but when they are actually playing God( as these types of doctors have your literal life in their hands) they will eventually make mistakes 😡

So some info, this was at a private surgery center and not a hospital. He is the owner of the center so of course nothing is going to happen to him.

she didn't mess up, nor deserve to be treated that way. there's not much to these machines. if its turned on, she turns it to high. if its still weak. you a) change specimen trap b) change tubing c) change suction tip d) change all of it. you don't get to have a melt down over a patient on a table, your job is to troubleshoot any problem that arises

I'm sorry I have to disagree with you. Yes his attitude was disgusting and he could've handled it better. But someone's life is literally in his hands and the nurse is arguing with him mid surgery instead of doing what she's told (her job). No one deserves to be treated that way. But if I'm the one on that table being operated on, I'll pick that Dr. over that nurse. It's not about who brings in more revenue. It's about who's doing their job right.

It’s unfortunate but nurses are talked to like that all the time, because the surgeons/doctors are the “money makers” and we as nurses are replacable
