@alexgenealogy: Look at these two gorgeous Louisiana Creole first cousins Dot SIMON and Orisca STERLING at a family gathering. They are the daughters of sisters Filette DONATTO-SIMON and Anathalie DONATO-STERLING. I am connected to these ladies through their Grandfather Francois Alcide DONATO's sister Marie Therese DONATO, wife of Leonard LACHAPELLE, both free people of color of Opelousas, Louisiana. This is just one of my many connection to the old Creole families of Liberty County, Texas. Through my fam father's family I am connected to Iberia, St. Mary, Vermillion, St. Martin and Lafayette Parishes: St. JULIEN, BROUSSARD, ROGERS, ISADORE, THOMAS, SENEGAL and more.
