my beautiful lifelong best friend is the only reason im still here. we were in a fatal dui accident, when she heard people honking and saw bright lights coming at us, she quickly turned the car so she’d take the impact on her side instead of me. i know she knew with my chronic conditions, i wouldn’t have survived and i still wasn’t expected to make it through the first night. we layed on that road getting cpr side by side, but she was already gone, she gave me a fighting chance, i was on life support for 7 weeks and fought like hell. she’s always been my protector, until her last breath and i would’ve always been the same for her. we’ve been inseperable since birth, our moms are bsf, live next to eachother, raised us like sisters, we moved out together and became nurses. im so broken without my other half and this guilt eats me alive but i now fight and go on for her, she gave her life so i could have mine and that described who she was🩷🕊
