BS! Judas was a devil. Matthew 26:24 “The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” This is Jesus explicitly referring to Judas. The phrase “woe to that man” is a severe condemnation. 2. John 6:70–71 “Did I not choose you, the Twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.” (He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the Twelve, was going to betray him.) Jesus calls Judas “a devil,” long before the betrayal happened. 3. John 13:27 “Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, ‘What you are going to do, do quickly.’” Jesus permits the betrayal, showing full awareness and divine control, but also that Judas had fully given himself over.
