@thoughtsbymarc: Every attempt rewires your brain. The more you try, the easier it becomes. The issue is thinking we need to start big, but to build new habits. Small consistent efforts help rewire your brain and improve your mindset over time #neuroplasticity #newme #selfreflection #workingonme #mindsetgrowth

oh I BUILT this fyp brick by brick. I love neuroplasticity and keep reading about it, the Word says be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWAL of your mind. go read about synaptic pruning then read about the fact that Jesus prunes every branch that bears fruit. MY GOD ❤️‍🔥

yess the brain recognizes consistency and routines aka "showing up every day". it's not you hitting the same goals every day, it's the fact that you're doing it every day. the brain recognizes that as part of "you", that you *can* do it.

Challenging your limits literally change your brain chemistry. Once you do something you question was possible or not, your brain releases dopamine and informs you to try something even bolder(and makes you tells you you’ll succeed). It unlocks a wholeeee new portal of possibilities!

We already know this in Islam...our hearts and minds are meant to change and grow when we put in the work and ask God. The Quran says God won’t change our situation until we change ourselves. The Prophet Muhammad pbuh taught us to keep learning, purifying our hearts, and fixing bad habits. That’s exactly what neuroplasticity is, our brain rewiring through effort and intention. So yes, we can “rewrite” our brains, but it only works with sincere supplicatios, consistent action, and trustl in God. This isn’t new science; it’s been part of our religion all along.

I felt like a failure for not being able to keep up with dishes and other tasks but blaming myself never made me start doing them. Now I try to do at least one small chore a day. Part of me still feels like that’s not enough but it’s a hell of a lot more than I was doing before. I’ve also decide to try not to call out of work but instead try to take time off before I get too burnt out and end up calling out anyways. It’s…certainly less than my parents had hoped for me but it’s where I’m at right now and I really am proud of myself for making and sticking with any changes at all
