@photogsteve81: Seattle police are investigating a stabbing early Sunday that left a 58-year-old woman seriously injured in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood. At 12:56 a.m., officers responded to a reported of a stabbing at an apartment in the 1100 block of Fir Street. A neighbor called 911 after the victim arrived at their door with multiple stab wounds. Police found the woman on the third floor of the complex with stab wounds to her neck, face, arm, and leg. Officers provided medical aid until Seattle Fire Department (SFD) medics arrived and took over lifesaving efforts. SFD transported her to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Police determined the victim was awakened by an unprovoked attack inside her apartment by her 33-year-old daughter. She was also stabbed with a butcher knife in the complex hallway during the domestic violence incident. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers searched the area with the assistance of Real Time Crime Center personnel but did not locate the suspect. Domestic Violence Unit detectives are handling the investigation and working to determine what led to the assault.
