My mom has aggressive dementia and altzheimers, when I hear this it takes my thought to her, she doesn't recognize me anymore. and to those who have never gone through this it kills your soul.

Barber was only 26 when he wrote it. Originally for a string quartet but the orchestra gives it incredible depth.
