I will say though, as someone who works for Best Buy, go in store DO NOT order open box online. If you’re in store were able to show you the condition of the product (open it). If you order online we can’t guarantee what store it comes from

I work at Best Buy so I can explain for the ppl confused. Sometimes customers will buy items either as a gift for someone or opened the item and realized they didn’t want it. For electronics specifically, they get checked first after returnee and then it gets marked down as an open box and the price will depend on the condition and if it’s missing anything.

Fyi always ask to see the items! We just went to best buy to buy different color panels for our fridge and we found the 3 black ones we wanted open box. The worker opened the box and it was white instead but was labeled as black 😃
