Hey mate had a similar problem with my front actuator thinking that water got in but was actually the copper strips that run over each other had slightly separated not allowing me to get it out of four-wheel-drive and setting off the 4 low lights on the dash, put a bit of solder on all of them joints put it back in no troubles should be done like that from factory

Don’t take the cover of this, if it’s out of time it’s a massive pain to get back in time and working and the gears fall out when putting lid back on, just put silicone around where the lid screws in it works just the same👍
