The act of taking your own notes and listening to what is said is the point of being in a lecture. Also, if all you are getting is a sage on the stage you’re at the wrong school. Letting a machine tell you what is important is the equivalent of burning thousands of dollars, you get nothing and you paid for it. Instead, take your own notes,read the assigned material and ask questions when you don’t understand something. Also, your syllabus may have a statement that prohibits recording lectures. They are the intellectual property of the professor and not meant to train AI models without compensation.

be careful about checking school policies and syllabi about this! some schools require that you have an ADA accommodation to do this, and require that a teacher know you’re recording, or it can violate honor codes or even laws. with my accommodation tools like this were so helpful though!!
