You should have hired a mason to at least get the stone match correctly. My pops is a mason, and he would be upset if he saw this patch 🙈

I mean, it’s okay…but I think it would look better if he’d make it look seemless!! But it’s obvious you closed a space. I don’t know…

When you put the dividing wall I doubt you’ll be able to tell. I think he did a fantastic patch job on a 50 year old rock wall with rocks from probably not the same batch. Awesome job porta John

Porta Potty guy did do great 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You can always slap an electric/candle lit faux fireplace with a pretty mantle if you end up missing it. I LOVE that rock!!! 😍😍😍😍 That upstairs FP is gorgeous and huge!!

Ummmmm. I wish I saw a little less of the fireplace outline in the patch. But I am along for the ride, so I am withholding all my reservations. I am sure once the space is completed, it will be great!

Oh nooooo, not the fireplace. It was the only original thing left after all the demolition. But it's going to be great, you're doing a fantastic job.

I think I would have used the fireplace as the wall the doorway was on between the rooms and left it intact
