Wow, that’s too bad. And yes I was gonna say that, I’m sure somebody with cows would love to graze it. I remember in 2002 we woulda been happy to put an electric fence around a field like that and put our cows in there! Surprised the grasshoppers haven’t got it yet

I had to do this to 700 acres of durum in west central sask in 2023, then had a canloa yield loss claim in 2024 at summer fallow coverage rates on the same ground

Mixed operator here, you made a good call. You’d never pick that up with a baler or chopper. Glyphosate has no grazing restriction and the “ground cover” will help you next year. Shitty situation but given it, be confident in your decision.
