We should talk about how many autistic women in our community were forced in to marriage at young age because they were seen as a liability. They didn’t use drugs to cope… The women in our communities are the real victims, the men get coddled. R*pe culture.

Autism may well be under diagnosed, but I don’t see any link between drug use and autism. I’ve worked in education for over 10 years and never heard of any link from professional practitioners based in education. 99% of drug abuse is a lifestyle choice.

Yess both my brothers give off autistic vibes and the elder one especially. There have been many fights and whatnot with him and I’m sure there is something wrong with him but due to my mum coddling him he’ll continue to be crazy

I think unless they’re low functioning it gets disregarded because it’s hard to get a diagnosis. Speech is fine so parents carry on believing nothings wrong.

No one of the reason they are not diagnosed is because it’s so difficult, doctors don’t do referral unless it’s very obvious. It’s impossible to get basic care now especially after Covid.
