It was not an easy decision to pack up 5 of our 6 kids and head to California on a whim 😮‍💨😅. A few weeks ago we were given the opportunity to attend the Red Carpet Premiere for @angelstudios_inc new movie @thesketchmovie . We were so excited at the thought but then as usual all of the reasons why we COULDN’T/SHOULDN’T came rolling in. 1) $$$ 2) Dan was admitted to the hospital again 3) Dan’s sister passed away 4) After having the kids by myself for a few days and juggling that with Dan being in the hospital I didn’t know if I could handle the kids in the car driving from UT to CA 5) We didn’t think 2 of our kids would be able to come because of schedule conflicts etc. etc. etc. ALL VERY CONVINCING REASONS TO NOT GO! In the end, as always, the fact that LIFE IS SO FREAKING SHORT & Healthy days come & go, we remembered YOLO & we decided we needed to make the trip! We are SO thankful we did. We had the most amazing time and got some great quality time with the kids. These memories will last forever and every time our kids see the movie SKETCH from here to eternity, they will remember how Dad & Mom took them to the Red Carpet Premiere. They will remember dressing up fancy, riding in a limo, walking the red carpet, feeling special & fancy, watching the incredible movie, meeting the actors, going to the beach, cramming all 7 of us in 1 hotel room and the long road trip. WORTH IT! Let this be your sign to LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING… we have had too many close calls with death and seen too many die. Every day, multiple times a day I check myself, my actions & my behavior and remember that tomorrow is not promised. Thank you again @jasonstithmedia & @angelstudios_inc for this opportunity. We are so thankful. 💜💜💜 THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!! Go see it on August 6th. The teenagers, kids AND adults all absolutely loved it! 💜 The Kotters
