I’m going to against the girlies and say don’t bring them because rain boots are made of rubber, you may end up way too hot and they may not be all the comfy for a long day of walking!

From experience, I wouldn't - the odds that it will rain enough to warrant one day's wear aren't high enough and it might be HOT. YMMV obviously

As someone who hates when my shoes get muddy I’d argue they’re the most practical thing you could bring, but if you usually can’t stand them in the heat then that’s a reason for them to stay home
