@rachaelshepardohta: We are loving CPH 🇩🇰 ! It’s so kid friendly and a great place for parents too. We have a lot to learn! #danishparenting #danish #cph #copenhagen #parenting #kidfriendly #travelwithkids #travelwithtoddlers #copenhagenwithkids
We are forced fo share the maternity leave in Denmark. Or else the government will reduce it. It’s horrible.

Question for you because I’ll soon move to CPH with kids. Did you enroll your kids in international school or do they go to public schools? If so, how’s the danish as second language program? Thanks 🙏🏻

As a visitor I feel the parks are really needed as there is a lot of apartment living here so the kids do not have their own garden to play in.

well sleep is kind of a polarizing topic if you don't let your baby nap in the stroller outside 😅. I had one of those kids that napped for maximum 20 minutes at a time and at one point I stopped letting her sleep outside, and alot of people had opinions about that

You should read Making Motherhood Work by Caitlin Collins. She interviewed Swedish moms. It’s great!

In situations where a couple split up most couples have 7/7 meaning one week with that dad and one week with mom 🤩

Denmark is a village compared the US. And as villages everywhere are more family friendly than big places. Also notice that almost everything in the youth culture is US inspired. Again. Like villages to big cities.

I loved Copenhagen for my toddler! If you haven't yet, you should take the kids to the library (there's a whole floor for kids) and the children's museum (a section in the National museum where they can touch everything).

Mor Can have 8,5 months paid off after birth, 4-8 weeks before birth also paid. Dad has 11 weeks paid, or Can get more than that, if mom gives away some of her leave. Plus many take vacation after their leave.

Moved to Odense with my Dansk husband, agree with all of this… in America children feel like such an inconvenience, where here children are championed. People literally stop you to tell you how beautiful your children are or offer help. So many dads at the park and involved at daycare. Best decision we ever made was to move.
