my daughter was born with a tongue tie and I had it cut the next day. she's only a little over a year but I've been WORRIED that it was something important and she'd be mad at me later lol

I never realized it could be done by adults my daughter just had hers removed 3 days old and they mentioned adults do it too it’s wild!

i got this done when i was younger and it wasn’t bad at all they just numbed me and clipped it out. the doctor said i did better than a 30 yo male, supposedly he ran around the room when they tried to numb him and the doctor was impressed w me 😭

Yall, no lie. I had this done THREE TIMES and it GREW BACK every single time!!!! How?!?! Idk but yeah. Here i am, 28, with a tongue tie for life.

Imagine being a poor baby who has to have that done and they don’t even numb them for that. They do lip and tongue tie by burning it the exact same way and they don’t numb them my poor baby had that done.

As a Speech Therapist I recommend after the removal of the tongue tie please please do some sessions with a Speech Therapist, because she’s not used to having the mobility and probably her tongue is not strong because of the tongue tie 🙏🏻 if she doesn’t work on this the tissue can form again and she will have a tongue again 🥲

I had a lip tie cut a few years ago I was shocked at how much pain I was I'm once the numbness wore off 😅 now I feel awful that little babies get that procedure
