That’s a lot to ask of a daughter. I hope you’ve someone to talk to as well. GenX moms need to realize that therapy is ok and helps. Their kids can’t be their emotional sounding board.

oooh I had to create some boundaries with my mom about this. She felt better, but I was left carrying it all for her which stressed our relationship. You’re a wonderful child to your mom✨

Could never do this to my daughter because my mom did this to me and I carried it with me my entire life. I found a great therapist for the last three years so make sure I do better.

recently played connect 4 with my mother. We were playing rounds of rock, paper, scissors & I hadn’t seen her laugh so hard over something so simple. it was almost like seeing her younger self 🫀
