Even if they went to trial, found guilty, and sentenced to death, he’d be sitting there for another 30-40 years. It sucks. The death penalty is usually charged to get the person to plea anyway. There is 2100 people on death row now. More than half will probably will die before ever being executed.

rescuemomcoon: You don’t know how lucky you are that he pled. No he can’t appeal his plea. He will forever be in prison. Trial; brutal. Defense attorneys will shred the victims lifestyle. Possible; hung jury, acquittal or, if found guilty, you can have decades of being dragged back into court for appeals.
