Playing fields that have already been played on causes you to protect your face and, instinctively, you pull the glove up as the ball approaches. I had to learn to get over that fear.

As a kid, I was always scared that if I scooped up the ball the way described in the video, the ball would roll up the glove and into my face at high speed. Probably an unwarranted fear, but a fear nonetheless.
