After the garage sale get white garbage bags, fill the bags with clothes post them on FB marketplace for $10 a bag. That’s what I do 😂 made $300+ AFTER my garage sale was over doing that. 😅

former platos employee. wash the stuff right before you take it, fold the clothes in the totes, put the nicer clothes on top. same goes for once upon a child

I gently want to tell you going through each little thing, separating, keeping, etc… over 60 days…. You have too much stuff. Keeping too much. Value the stuff too much. Even though you’re trying to organize the stuff.. it’s too much! Take it to Salvation Army and drop it off.

Platos always disappoints me, they’re sooo damn picky. I have cute business clothes/dress from when I worked at a dealership and they never I’ve tried like 3 different ones too. It’s annoying. I decided to save it for my next clean and just take it to a woman’s shelter where at least I know it’ll go to good use.

If you can’t sell it-check out local DV shelters/womens shelters. They always need child clothes too!

may I suggest- rather than Goodwill which has sketchy practices, there are women's and children's shelters that take all kinds of clothes for people trying to escape homelessness or DV situations. some people leave with nothing and need literally anything that's clean and in good shape 💚

On the yard sale thing.. I know it’s kinda a breach of privacy but my town majority of our yard sales on inside homes. People tend to bring stuff up that isn’t actually for sale.. that’s when.. if willing to sell.. say some crazy number and if they say ‘okay’ and pay then HEY made more than you thought you would on an item that you your iffy on keeping. And on room you don’t want people in you set a table up infront of the door.
