@voka.io: What happens during stage two of acute rhinitis? Acute rhinitis is an inflammation of the nasal mucosa that can make breathing a challenge. At stage two of this condition, the symptoms intensify:   🔹 Profuse watery discharge – the nose becomes flooded with watery mucus, making it hard to stay dry.
🔹 Edema – swelling in the nasal passages increases, contributing to congestion.
