As a nanny, get rid of the bed. You will NOT be napping if you have multiple children of multiple ages…also curious as to the legalities of you having unrelated children in your home and caregiving…in my state this isn’t allowed. As a nanny you have to be at the house(s) of the children being cared for…otherwise you have to be a licensed in-home daycare.

Coming from someone who nannied & taught primary for YEARS before having kids, don’t over commit before you find your rhythm with your baby! It’s wayyy different to be the mom & be on duty 24/7. Good luck! 💕

I have twins so my opinion may be a bit skewed, but I would wait until after you have the baby to actually open this up. It may take more than a few weeks to be ready for that. It may take less, every woman is different and every baby is too. Best of luck either way lovely!

I am a bit surprised not to see a Montessori bed…also you know that according to Montessori teachings the play space should be in another room or space not where they sleep….

As someone who has a home daycare and has had a baby while running one. I took 2 weeks off/closed. Then I had my staff run 90% of the day for the next 2 months. It’s a lot with a newborn, being up multiple times a night, healing, etc. And I had a super easy birth, recover, and baby. Also I’m sure you’ve already looked into it but most states require home daycares to be licensed and limit the number of babies and kids per adult.

You left the school to be home for a year or so But then want to take on another child barely postpartum? I was a home daycare provider and am going to have my own fourth kiddo in the fall. I hope the best for you, but this doesn’t seem like a great idea

Will you get licensed as a daycare? Does your state have ratio requirements?

My girls went to an in-house daycare. They learned so much from Marcy their daycare teacher. She was amazing. I don’t know if she followed a Montessori schooling or not but a lot of what I’m watching in your videos. My kids learned you are amazing.

Wow this sounds great!! You do you!! The only thing I can think of is that this is gonna be SO good for your child so they start to experience life with another child so they learn about sharing etc (which a child with no siblings doesn’t really learn that much or since the moment they are born/little) this will be good for their future imo
